Interlink Global to Provide Wireless Telephony Services in a Joint Venture with CosmoTelco Group of Athens, GreeceMay 24, 2005 |Press Release
MIAMI & ATHENS, Greece--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 2005--Interlink Global Corp., (OTC:ILKG - News), ("Interlink") today announced, along with CosmoTelco of Athens, Greece, the creation of a partnership to sell Interlink's wireless services in Athens and in several other Greek cities.
Interlink, a pioneer in international VoIP services, is currently providing long distance communication to corporations, professional associations, defense contractors, financial services providers, call centers, and property management companies, as well as to the general public.
Under the terms of the agreement, Interlink will design, install, and maintain a Wi-Fi, (Wireless Fidelity) system, employing the latest advances in this exciting new technology. The system, convertible in the future to Wi-Max, (Expanded Area Wireless Fidelity) will provide Fast Internet Connections with varied applications.
Among the applications which are integrated into the system will be Data Transmissions, Telephony, Voice over Internet Protocol for fixed, semi-fixed and mobile telephone customers. In the future, the platform can be expanded to add video, video conferencing, and video security applications. It is anticipated the rollout of the first stage of the system will begin in July 2005. At full implementation of the system, the expectation is that it will produce $800,000 of net revenues per annum for the company.
According to Severino Rivano, Vice-President of Marketing at Interlink, "The initial installation will be in an area of Athens called Glyfada, followed by coverage of the entire metropolitan area of the Greek capital. We will then direct our attention to expanding the coverage to the port city of Pireaus, as well as the city of Thessaloniki. When implemented in Athens the system will provide services to over 20,000 people in the metropolitan area."
