Political Climate in Venezuela Alters Expectations
Interlink Global Corp., (OTC:ILKG) today announced that it has revised its financial expectations for its wholly-owned subsidiary, NGTV, SA, (New Global Telecom), one of the largest privately owned fully licensed telecom network companies operating in Venezuela. According to Anastasios Kyriakides, President and CEO of Interlink, "The current climate of political unrest, witnessed by recent scenes of violence and official reaction, and the resulting work interruptions, places Interlink in the position where it is forced to lower its revenue expectations for at least the next two quarters." Kyriakides further added, "We hope that this situation will soon calm to the point where we can resume our talks with major clients and companies to resume our growth as expected."
He further added, "The goal of Interlink's plan is to increase gross revenues of NGTV from the present level. We still plan to implement the original Interlink long term plan to service the Maracaibo and Caracas markets with wireless Internet, (Wi-Fi) and expanded local and national telephone services. When we are able to assess the actual fallout from this situation we will be able to accurately update our original financial projections."
